Proposal Coordinator

  • Annual Salary: $72,800 - $111,800, depending on experience level

Kall Morris Inc (KMI) is a space solutions company that is developing the technology to rendezvous, retrieve, and relocate objects in orbit to safeguard space and all the services from it, enabling the future by capturing and relocating assets in orbit. We are seeking a Proposal Coordinator. Your role in this mission will include:

  • Coordinate the KMI responses to government solicitations, including but not limited to: RFPs, RFIs, open BAAs, and open calls for proposals.

  • Prospecting public posting forums and distribution sites for upcoming opportunities.

    • This includes monitoring Sam.gov, NASA Public Postings, SBIR/STTR sites, and other government sources.

  • Proactively track and document progress on proposals, abstracts, and public responses.

  • Coordinate with cross-discipline teams and departments whose expertise and technical input may be required for a proposal response.

  • Act as the primary relationship bridge and liaison between the Communications and Marketing teams for the Business Department as needed for reviewing event abstracts, external communications, press releases, and other content.

  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to establish and mature relationships with external consortiums and industry groups.

  • Assist with maintaining long-term partnership opportunities and developing associated relationships, requiring diligent follow-up on customer and company objectives.

  • Present and execute strategies to improve new and ongoing partnerships.

  • Identify business process improvements and utilization of Customer Relationship Management tools.

  • Collect, organize, and share industry knowledge within the Business team and across KMI.

  • Attend in-person meetings, conferences, and customer engagements with appropriate notice.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The KMI Proposal Coordinator should be highly organized and able to maintain focus on the relevant projects at hand, prioritizing between various tasks in a given week. The following are specific focuses that may be necessary in the performance of this role. While these focuses can be learned in the course of work, prior experience in them is a plus.

Travel

  • This position can be performed remotely from an approved location.

  • Potential business travel to customer sites and conferences within the USA could be possible. International travel, predominantly to Europe, is possible, but not guaranteed. 

Requirements

  • Eligible to legally work in the United States and the state of Michigan.

  • Eligible to legally work on ITAR/EAR-restricted technologies within the United States.

  • Available for regular, full-time employment Monday through Friday.

  • Demonstrated competence with 

    • 3+ years of industry experience 

    • OR at least a relevant Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or similar plus 1+ years of experience 

    • OR demonstrated competence and relevant military service in the applicable area of focus 

    • OR combination thereof.
